Hi i really like vintage style guitars but being left handed not much crops up that's in my price range.

I found this in eBay for a very good price but know nothing about the make of guitar 'Besson Aristone'

Can anyone help me out on whether to get it?

Here you go loads of info on vintage Hofner's here

http://www.vintagehofner.co.uk/

A friend of mine makes replacement parts and rewinds pickups for old Hoff's

With these old UK guitars, don't expect a consistent appreciation in value. Though they will appreciate, it's not like with big name vintage stuff.

Whereas she was made by Framus you can pretty well rest assured that it is an exceptional instrument as in the 50s and 60s Framus was one of the most respected luthiers in Europe and their old pickups were perfectly suited for jazz much moreso than the Hofner pups.
