the tone doesnt sound to bad. the headphones jack is a great idea.

im with you on this nevin.
what a very portable amp this thing is. good for jam sessions and
practice at the bands room. good for getting things down
so you dont have to lug your rig to and from everywhere, just on show night.
the tone honestly isnt that bad for a SS amp.
nobody would expect that lil turd to push 200 thumpers would they lol?

ZZDoc has one, he likes it.

Like I always said, when solid state gets it right, it'll own the amp market.

Never stopped BB King did it, who in their right mind would ever accuse him of having bad tone. Or all them early Pantera albums at the other end of the spectrum.
They just gotta focus on the inbetween. If Gibbons is using em, he's running some impressive pedal'ry through em. Then again he's always done that.

hell even clapton was known to use a SS amp.
the roland jazz chorus was a top amp for decades.

It still is!

Nothing else does that sound. If ever you chose to get involved in finding the Knopfler sound you'll find that his best sounds came from either that Roland or plugging a Orange Squeezer compressor directly into the board as a DI.
Neither of the first 2 classic albums used any kind of valve anywhere. Infact as soon as he started to be picky about gear, I think it all went downhill.

Well ok, it may have been a mole hill it went down, not Everest or anything like that.

Wow man, uncle Nuge. Now that is a legacy!

Does he ever pass any birds your way? Forget the guitar stuff, that's what I'd be hankering after. Didn't he have Courtney Loves cherry? Or was it Courtney Cox?

Something to live up to mate. Fill yer boots.

In all truth I'd have to say Journey to the Center of the Mind is one of the better rock songs out there. Absolutely incendiary solo's in that track.

Get advice off the Nuge mate, we all need some of that goodness. He ain't never suffered from no bad sound that I know of. Just bang a Heritage guitar into a amp set to scream and come up with some great songs.

Oh it sounds so simple don't it?

lol. dude ive talked with tons of people in the business over the yrs.
the nuge being one of them.
hell one of my better memories was spending 2 weeks with
aerosmith watching the stage being built from scratch. i mean a pile
of nails here, 2x4s there, lights in this pile.
it was their pump tour.
i hung out with their sound engineer pretty much the whole time.
i learned a lot those two weeks about the business in general.
over the yrs ive gotten to hang with lots of cool folks.
man the stories i can tell lol.
