Warwick has made 3 Jack Bruce handmade basses made from a 40 year old piece of Brazilian Rosewood and it is certified legal because it was harvested before the international controls were put on rosewood exports. The guitars are neck through body fretless the guitars have 2 MEC J/J pups and they are active. There is only one more available as Jack Bruce has one and a private collector in Colombus Ohio has another after seeing Bruce in concert and wanting one for himself,so the third is currently at the Framus museum. If you like you can opt for the budget priced bubinga model for $4,499.90.

Jack Bruce is a good bass guitarist, better known for his vocals I would guess. 55k for a bass guitar, must have made some buckaroo's playing with Eric and Ginger a couple years ago. I've played a couple Warwick's in the past and the only bass that comes close to a Fender bass sound is one of the older Ricken backer basses because of a pretty decent sound and it's sustain qualities. Next to that is Gibson's Firebird bass, closer to the Rickenbacker than to a Fender. Leo and Georges design is just better IMHO. I just get a better sound with a Precision or Jazz or Tele. The Precision has the more pronounced growl of the three though.

If I were to buy another bass I think I'd go for the Jaguar with its Jazz Bass neck width and profile and the Jaguar switchability.

Meh, if I wanna sound like Jack Bruce, I'll just get an Epi EB-3 for $300. :D
