Uriah Heep never got the attention they should have, they were something else-in a league of their own,our band used to do some U.H. covers.

The most underrated goup of all time has got to be the group that has more #1 hits than the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Elvis, and the Beach Boys combined.

It aint a guitar group, It's a group of jazz players who created the Motown sound "The Funk Brothers". They get no credit for their creations. It may not be rock and roll or pop, but it was great music during it's time. The only information I could find on them was a DVD called "In the Shadows of Motown".

Also, in the Blues Brothers 2000 movie, Dan Akroid acknowledges Robert White (the guitarist for the Funk Brothers) as he rambles names of the great blues players. Donald Dunn asks "who is Robert White?". He should know, most of the Blues Brothers were Studio musicians with Stax records and competing with Motown Records at the time.

Stone Temple Pilots, a band that's really underrated. You never hear much of them. I've seen em' 2x and they are awesome live. Go see em' if you get the chance.

Not that underrated bro. They were second on the bill just behind Aerosmith at Download this year and ahead of some better known artists such as Billy Idol, Slash and Motorhead. Very good show.

As always I will say Izzy Stradlin, Martin Barre and Nazareth. Dan McCafferty and Manny Charlton are both amazing.

Cheers.

I always have believed that Malcolm Young of ACDC is underated as a guitarist, but in terms of a band it's gotta be Iron Maiden...they seem like a band time forgot.
