From what I've seen, there will be a whole new line of EVH products (cables, straps, etc.). Any thoughts? Comments?

I really try to stay way from most signature gear because oftentimes the person doesn't actually use it most of the time, or you just end up paying for the name. And other than how it looks, there's only so much you can do to improve guitar cable technology and straps these days, so you'll pretty much be paying extra for the "exclusive design pattern" and extra so they can pay a royalty to whoever's name is on the product.

Do like Eddie did in the beginning, make your own Frankenstein Strat. 8)

He's changing manufacturers way to much now.

Eddie's following the almighty buck these days. Can't say I blame him though. He lost a lot of time to health issues.

Eddie was a major influence for some and I think all generations found something in his playing that made him sound unique in his approach.

I like Eddie's playing, and he pretty much influenced everybody at some point who started playing guitar in the 80's like I did, but no matter how great he was, I don't see myself spending $25,000 on one of his limited edition guitars or spending $50 or more extra on something just cause it has the striped VH finish...

I wouldn't mind playing it as long as it's stuff HE uses. I've been looking for a quality cable. It's not all striped stuff. I think it's just normal gear. I'm hoping that EVH will become a bigger brand than it is now.
