Just as those of us who were around when J.F.K. was assassinated we all can remember where we were and what we were doing when John was murdered.It was him and George Harrison that started me off into being a musician and I'll always be indebted to him and love him for that.His death hit just as close to home as that of a family member as he was such an integral part of my life.Thankyou John from the 9 year old boy whose life you changed for the best all those years ago.God Bless You.

Experience is the best teacher

I was sitting at the family room table watching Monday Night Football with my Dad. As a 14-year-old and a HUGE fan of the Beatles, I almost fell out of my chair when the crawler came across "John Lennon has been shot and is being taken to the hospital". It was not long afterward that another crawler came saying that he died. Then Howard Cosell mentioned it.

To me he had all the frailties of being human, but as he once said"You're only human a victim of the insane" I have missed his mind and wit for the last 30 years and will continue to. He was a "Artist" in every sense of the word and nobody can convince me differently. I miss you and Peace to you my brother!!

An amazing man who had insight beyond his years. So much, he scared Governments. PEACE JOHN, your words and music are not forgotten.

Mighty hypocritical words from someone who relocated to the US solely to escape confiscatory British taxes.

As a songwriter, singer, and musician Mr. Lennon had few equals.

But his philosophy and politics are antithetical to me.

Regardless of that, RIP.
