My favorite band, and quite arguably the best rock and roll band ever, have been broken up for about 30 years, but have constantly been getting back together for a gig or two, or one of them pairs up with another(ex. page and plant in the 90s, no Jonesy ) But is it for better or for worse?

In some ways iwant them to, but in others i dont because its not the same zep without Bonham

Robert plant actually said he's done with rock n roll. Heres the article

http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/news/gen ... cking.html

Zeppelin is unarguably the best rock n roll band of all time, it's a shame that I might never get to see em....but there is hope

I think that they should, with jr on drums would be fine. I haven't really appreciated any of the solo stuff, or even the Plant/Page stuff. But, if they are going to, it had better be soon, they're not getting any younger. There is always hope, after all someone else said never, and then "Hell Freezes Over" was great.

Not sure without Bonham. I guess it depends on whether Plant will do it or not.

If they ever do get back together I'm getting tickets right away.

It is Plant who won't do it. He was asked about a Led Zeppelin tour after the O2 gig. He said he "would love to do it, but it will never happen because we couldn't find enough doctors that would be needed to be brought along". Pretty funny, actually ...

Nope.
The occasional "nostalgia" performance with special guest drummers is okay, but Zep can only be Zep with original members.

I would like it if the got back together with Jason Bonham but it will never happen.
I wonder how much $$ tickets for that would be?

Welcome to the Forum morecowbell! Went on a date with an attractive woman instead of going to see LZs first USA concert. Did eventually see the warm-up act for that show, Jethro Tull, 5 years later in 74. The loss of their drummer was the end of that LZ very unfortunately. Saw RP in concert in 90 or 91 with Kings X as warm-up and Robert still had his chops and a good back-up band. I don't think he could sing the "immigrant song" again and he is pretty much saying that in a round about way. Glad I got to see him back then and wouldn't want to see him crumble on stage like some other lead singers have been doing in the last few years. The guy is still on top in my opinion and although it may be lonely up there I hope that he is glad knowing people appreciate his work to this day and maybe forever. JPJ and JP are still playing their guitars and people can see and hear LZs guitarists so that is way better than nothing. As a little fun note, while setting the stage for RPs set, blaring on the PA "Dread Zeppelin"

Thanks for the welcome! :) And plants definitely still got it. for proof just watch the o2 bootlegs. amazing. And page is still godly on guitar. his performance at o2 and all the other guest appearances hes made are better thana ever. especially in it might get loud. If you havent seen it i highly reccomend it. havent heard much about JPJ, but hes probly my fav Zep member. And, of course, RIP John Bonham

So what is it your saying

Got to say I agree, Robert Plant just could'nt hit those notes anymore, not without damage anyway, and as far as I could gather in the last interview I saw he's enjoying what he's doing at present and always did enjoy spreading his wings musically Led Zep era is finished done and dusted
