Can't anyone take a joke these days? It is a really nice guitar! Congrats!

I dont smoke weed and as for your "joke", I'm not really sure how being a new member with less than 10 posts and coming in making a "joke" about the playing ability of someone you have never spoken with or observed works, but if your commentary was just a "joke"

ha. ha. ha.

Man every musician i have known has at least tried herb. You really have never tried it? Its you do its cool with me. It would explain you beings paranoid. For me its titsandbeer and designer herb allthe way!

Beautiful guitar BCB,the pups and hardware are the same that are on the S-100 and except for the master volume I would imagine the circuitry is probably identical right down to the "phase" switch. If it sounds anything close to an S-100 you have yourself a real screamer of a guitar that would reduce an SG or Les Paul to splinters. As for titsandbeer, with a pseudonym like that I guess we can all tell what his priorities are and hence most of his grey matter.Guys who come on the forum and start insulting long time and valued members no doubt will have a very short lived stay before pressure from members forces him to either clean up his act or take a hike.If anything he owes you an apology.

BCB that is a wonderfull piece mate. The guy who first started me playing all them years ago had one. Gorgeous, lovely instrument. I'm very interested in that rotary switch, what does it do?

So BCB who do you think T&B is? Looks like their banished now.

haha I am sure "he" is probably linked in with knitgirl and knitgirls other alias as there is no way she would ever just disappear. no worries, just figured if that person is going to keep coming back it would be better for them to try and keep their identity hidden for at least 100 posts or just go ahead and say who they are up front, because it is glaringly obvious when they try to hide it while posting the same insults as before and referring to things that happened before they made their "new user" name.

And it does have the HB-1 pups in it just like the S-100. Same great tone as well, the vintage HB-1 pups really are hard to beat. It is a lot lighter than I expected from a solid body though. It isn't entirely chambered but the routing is obvious a lot wider than it would be in most solid bodies. The neck is a real good feel as well, not super thin but not baseball bat chunky a nice in between. I agree with you though, the S-100 is a SG killer and these Bluesbirds will give just about any LP a run for it's money. Thanks!

You should check them out if you ever have the chance. The reissue Bluesbirds, S-100 and Starfires are all very solid and top quality guitars. The Westerly made vintage pieces are excellent and real steals since they were so well built and priced much lower than most vintage guitars. Guilds are the real sleepers of the vintage market I think.

The extra large knob, which I am replacing with a period correct one, is a master volume. The switch is an "out of phase" switch which splits the coils on the buckers and allows for so many different tone possibilities.

Probably knitgirl come back for more, although I am sure she is still around under another alias as we speak.

Thought the same. Wow multiple alias's, 3 usernames that I know of, or more accurately suspect (paranoia abounds). That's some impression you made there mate.
