just got offered a fender lead 3 for $400.
down side is the pups arent original. they hve been switched to duncans.
anybody know about these? worth the 4 hes asking?

Yep I love them I dont have one but played one and they are great.
I imagine the guitar will have super distortions in it so if you do buy it Buy some replacement pickups

Did you get it? I have a Lead I and well.. the pickup MUST go.
Ordered a replacement from WD so I dont cut up the original. Not sure what HB to put in.
I am putting a single in the neck but not sure what to put in their either. I have a Lollor overwound tele neck pickup, some 90s SD 1/4lb strat pu's and an 80s SD vintage strat pickup.

I will probably play with it. The guitar seems abysmal until it gets setup but then they are really nice. Took me a while to get used to the narrow spacing but I did eventually get used to it.

nope i let it slide. probably shouldnt have.
