This was definitely valve. I think it had a Gz34 rectifier valve. Great big round step up transformer in the bottom of the cab.

I have a red knob Twin. Its a tube amp, very heavy and very loud

high gain amp? sound good?

I guess its a high gain amp. It sounds very good but very loud and heavy (90 lbs) I don,t use alot of gain I tend to play on the cleaner side of things with just alittle overdrive. Ive never had any issues with it but I don,t use it much. Ive thought about selling it but have a hard time selling gear.

temetal head would enjoy that amp. add costers and its all good.
