So many varieties and the quality seems top notch. Any thoughts?

I've owned a few -- mostly the OEM types in Fender amps that were quickly replaced. The Eminence Swamp Thangs (12's) and Ragin' Cajuns (10's) are two of the "keepers".

I'm not a fan of eminence speakers. To me they sound a little muddy. I typically replace speakers in all my amps with Carvin neo-magnet speakers. They sound awesome. I will second what Arjay said about the Swamp Thangs being "keepers", But I have no experience whatsoever with the ragin cajuns.

I was never a fan of Eminence speakers but bought my Blues Jr. even though it had one but after hearing Blues Jrs. with Jensons and Vintage 30s I'm going to put in a Vintage 30 as soon as I can get a good price on one.

I would say it depends on the speaker.
They make stock speakers for just about everyone, but stock speakers are, well very vanilla in tone (To my ears) and that is what they are made to sound like to appeal to the larger crowed.

I replaced the blue marville speakers in my classic 50 Peavey (They are made for Peavey by Eminence) and i replaced them with the GB12's.

A real world of difference to my ears, my Peavey now sounds very close to the Vox AC30, with more headroom.

So, yes I like them, but no I didn't care for them.

I put a pair of Governer 12's in a closed back cabinet I use with my '74 Dual Showman and they sound incredible! Clear highs, plenty of mid range and tight, fat bottom end. I love 'em!

thanks for asking, they do have a variety of product and have only heard good things about them. Been thinking about 15s for a Peavey cabinet I have.

Eminance is a good value. I like the Ragin Cajin 10" for small SS amp.

Hanging head in shame, here, 'don't pay much attention to what speakers are in amps as long as these ears like the whole sound.

Blush....

Just finished building a 12" extension cab for my Boogie and have one I built previously for my Peavey Classic 30. Used Eminence Legend in both and they have a really nice sound. Great blues tone.
