nice fiddle. it looks like you have a seymor duncan hot rail in the bridge position of the strat. i have one in my MIM and i love it. also off topic, what style of music do you play and what do you think of the 5150?

Hey jee bus. Yeah it's a hot rail but I will probably be taking it out now that I have the LP. It served it's purpose though and I liked it but now it's going to bay.

I like the 5150 for playing really loud obnoxious rowdy stuff when the occasion presents itself. It isn't good for much else I have a deville for everything else.
I try to play a lot of different music everything from blues , ska, punk , rockabilly, and surf music. Lately been trying to learn some country stuff but I don't listen to that much so having a tough Time learning it for now.

Great looking Les Paul-Don't the pickups of the '83 sound good enough? Guys I know have Les Pauls from that era that sound much better than today's Les Pauls. The '57 Classics are also worth checking out ,if you like the PAF type tone they're just great.

The pups in it now aren't stock. The only bummer about the deal was the original owner put those in and doesn't have the originals. I agree though if it was stock I'd be leaving it alone.

What Retroverbial said.

Nice guitar. Have fun.

Gibsons ain't the dark side. The dark is giving up playing guitar to watch sports on TV.

Nice guitars, both of them...lots of us here have assorted brands of guitars and amps; it's not the dark side; after all, music brings light to the world!

Hey, this is post #1066 for me...the Hastings Post! (I teach world history, remember? :D )

Or jerk off with a "Guitar Hero" game console.

Nice find!
When I "go to the darkside" I'm an SG man myself, but I do enjoy playing my sons LP from time to time. Variety is GOOOOD :D

Retroverbial, now that was a MUCH better description of going to the dark side.

"You have the guitar-ish-shaped controller in your hand, you are watching the flickering wide-screen, you have sold your Strat to buy an X-Box...

Hi Turrican,I joined you on the "dark side" this week when I picked up LUCY my Christmas gift-an Epi Traditional Pro Les Paul-if this is the dark side I love it as she sounds just like a PAF Les Paul for 1/200th the price.

I liked the dark side (Gibsons) and the light side (Fenders).
