Back in the '70s - I had a Precision Bass stolen from me here in the 'Burgh, and since I've joined the Fender Forum, I thought that maybe someone, bought it, and would be willing to sell it back to me. Sorry that I don't have any pics, but on the front of the upper horn, there was a knot in the wood that looked remarkably like an eye. Very small eye.
It had a rosewood fretboard and had a brown sunburst (or whatever it was called back then)finish.
Losing it cause SOME heartache. I might be willing to buy it, no questions asked, if the price was right.

Thanks all.

Good luck but I doubt you'll find it :(

My friend had a guitar of his stolen last week, Rickenbacker too. It must be a horrible thing to have happen to you :(

Yeah, it's a drag when some !!#$%%$&*&^!!!! steals your gear. That's just the lowest of lows. It would be very cool if you did find that old axe. Good luck man.

Sorry, haven't seen it. I'll let you know if I see it laying on the side of a road somewhere or something.

I really don't expect to find it, but hey - ya never know.
After the theft, I actually quit playing for a year or so. Then, I just went and bought a UNIVOX P-bass at a hock shop. It's nice, but you know, once you play a fender ...

Sounds like your asking for a miracle. I really wish you could find it. But you might as well just forget about it.

I would come unglued if somebody stole my guitar. I would have to be commited. I'd feel sorry for the guy if I ever found him.

I had a '70 Les Paul Deluxe that I bought new in 1970 when I was just a lad -Heritage Cherry- I loved that guitar - one day I was heading to a gig, stopped by the Sam Goody where I worked in Center City, Phila to pick up my paycheck- the guitar was in a case under the seat. Couldn't see it from the outside, car was locked up tight. Was gone for no more that 10 minutes, and when I came out someone had busted the window out of my car and stole my Les. It was insured, but everytime I see a '70 Heritage Cherry LP Deluxe- I wonder...... at least I hope the sucker did more with it than sell it to support a habit.

You can be pretty sure that axe found it's way into a Cherry Hill pawn shop an hour or so after it was jacked from ya.

I never leave my guitar in the car, and if I do I always put it in the trunk so no one can see it but I try to avoid needing to do that as much as possible, just couldn't bear the thought of losing my guitar.
