I put a standby switch in my Blues Jr.......

It really is not that big of a change but for some reason I love it! Who would've thought such a little thing could make such a difference.

:D

Could make such a difference .....?
I assume you mean in the way you personally feel about the amp as I suspect the tonal benefits of such a mod could be likened to the the difference between a Blues Junior and a Blues Junior.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

No tonal difference...I just feel better about leaving the amp on standby rather than full power. It is my understanding that there is no real value in this as leaving amp on full power is not going to hurt it but...it just makes me happy!!!! :lol

It's really a matter of convenience, B-man. Much like the Princeton Reverb -- it too should've been equipped with a standby switch (I added one to my vintage '65).

Frankly I'm surprised that FMIC chose not to install one on the BJr. It would've been nice if they'd corrected that minor oversight on the PRRI as well.
