I have recently purchased a fender aerodyne bass. It is as awesome as i expected. I have been playing bass for over 30 years and have played alot of different basses. started out on an epiphone hollowbody. what a piece of junk, ha ha. saved my money and bought a used p-bass. i was hooked. i sold it for some reason i can't remember. i bought a new mij p-bass back in 93. i love that bass. plays great never had much trouble with it besides normal problems. i still have it but might part with it if it goes to the right person. but i have an issue with this new one. no big thing but a little concerning. the nut holding the jack plug in keeps coming loose. the electronics on this bass are loaded from the rear and the jack plug is angled on the front. snugged it up with needlenose pliers but am afraid to scratch it. i found a tool to tighten jack plugs but this needs to be a deepwell. can anyone tell me where to find one for this bass?[/url]

Welcome!
I'm not quite sure, but you can try here. They look to be thin walled deep socket wrenches.

Thanks for your input. I've got the socket but was looking for something similar to what string swings makes. It holds the ferrule in place while tightening the nut but they only make them for flush mounted plugs.

You should look into the Bullet guitar jack tightener,it's made so it can be used on guitars with angled or recessed jacks. www.allparts.com/bullet
