My first guitar was an Acoustic from a Yard Sale. $10 and 4 strings. Mowed lawns, Rakes leaves, and shoveled snow until I had enough to buy a Memphis Les Paul for $50. That was a good chunk of change in 1978. Bought a Peavy Artist 240 tube amp and felt like Jimmy Page. 8)

Mine was an old Harmony acoustic. A pawn shop special, set up like a dobro! Wish I still had it.

Waaay back in 1977 . . . . A really nasty "Crown" Strat copy from the swap meet. I also picked up a kind of cool Silvertone amp. Kinda wish I'd held on to the amp.

Got my first guitar when I was like 11 or 12. New York Pro acoustic. My dad got it for for like $20, standard leftie too. I still have it and it's a great acoustic guitar

And all this time I thought you were named after an amplifier.

No, it's a 63 Supro Martinique. It's made from Resoglas (fiberglass) it's also called a "Plastic Gumby" because of the Fiberglas and Gumby headstock. Very cool guitar and sounds and plays great. Every time I take it out somewhere, someone wants to buy it. Eastwood is making repros of some of the Supro and Airline guitars. I like the Supro Dual Tone. Pretty nice copy, It has the Supro logo on it too and sounds great.

I have a couple laying around somewhere. Funny thing is I'm a professional photographer. I don't like putting my personal work on Flicker or Photobucket. Last time I did that my photos wound up on Ebay LOL. I'll look on my drives, I know I have one because I think I sent one to Arjay a ways back.

First acoustic-Fender F250 (still have it, sounds better than its reputation).

First electric-G&L F-100 (series II neck profile) (still have this one, too...mahogany body, twin humbuckers that are phase/coil tapped, rosewood fretboard, hardtail string-thru-body bridge)

That's a gorgeous pic, 63Supro!

Both the instrument and your photographic ability...I like the dramatic lighting.

Thanks so much. The guitar is really great. It's getting really old though.

i had one of these.... absolutely dreadful.

http://cheesyguitars.com/terminator.html

I had it for about a week before terminating its existence. I felt a little bad because my folks thought they were doing me good when I wanted an electric guitar but it was NOT what i had in mind.

My buddy had palmer electric... growler i think it was called, and decided he wanted to play bass so he gave it to me... not much better than the terminator but a slight improvement.

traded that shortly after for an 88' Series 10 Bentley... like this but mine was black with red crackle... like the very fires of hell were cracking through. I really wish i held onto that but the pickups sucked and i had no idea you could mod a guitar then... what a bummer. if anyone is looking for a christmas gift for their favorite captain... look no further.
