My buddy Pat just dropped by with his Orville by Gibson Les Paul aafter getting a Burstbucker,a Vintage '57 and orange drop caps put in her. I tried her through the JCM 800 2204 and she was deadly.I then plugged her into my '69 Bassman with the '68 2-15 cab and was blown away.Anything past 4 and the amp just snarled like a rabid Mastiff. It's the first time I've ever tried a Les Paul through this amp and the first time I've used it in about a year or more as it has been sitting in my crammed music room. I had forgotten what a fabulous amp the old Bassman is and that's even more incentive for me to gut out the rec room and move the guitars etc. in there and vice versa. When I get it all set up I'll be running the guitar into my JCM 800 4210 and slaving that into an Ibanez DM 1000 Digital Delay and putting the effects signal into the Bassman with the 2-15 cab and the Leslie 16 and the dry signal into the JCM 800 2204.I've had this setup for years but had to give it up as I ran out of space. The sound this setup makes is just incomparable, the old Leslie really slings the sound around when combined with a delay.

The older the Bassman, the better they sound.
