Pierce-Auguste Renoir: Famous for his use of brightness and saturation of color, as well as his candidly posed human figures. Among my favorites are "Two Girls At The Piano" painted in 1892 and his two Self Portraits painted in 1910. His nudes are also quite interesting and very 19Th. century.

The black smoke of a fast moving locomotive, hauling a train load of christmas gifts. or The Contrails of a high flying cargo plane, full of presents headed for a far distant place.

As a boy my American Flyer train set with it's little cast iron locomotive that belched puffs of smoke as it went around the tracks was a favorite toy especially at Christmas time.

This Time it's Paul Cezanne : He was given credit for leading the transition from the 19Th. Century to the 20Th. Century conception of art. two of my favorite paintings are His " The Card Players" 1892 and His "Still Life With A Curtain" 1895. He was said to believe that he was Recreating Nicolas Poussin. Famous for his Clarity & Order. I really don't see the resemblance. I had to chuckle about his desire to paint nudes, but never became proficient at it because of the unavailability of nude models at that time.

Broken string, swap out your guitar on your next song and no one's the wiser.

Do a show with a tooth ache or the same night your girl friend broke up with you.
