If I had a bottle of a good single malt Scotch I'd raise a glass to your health, but sadly I don't ,have a great St. Andrew's Day anyway.

I was watching the news a couple of hours ago and they showed all the storms that are after dumping 50 cm. of snow on Scotland. It must be extremely frustrating and upsetting to people that aren't used to all that snow whereas we consider 50 cm. a moderate snowfall.I hope that not too many people come to grief in all this mess.

I think the peeps in the central highlands are well used to heavy snowfalls by now, they get cut off regulary!

Some places near us are cut off now, weve had about 45 cm in the last few days. Couldnt get out the drive except on foot yesterday.

A toast to all whisky "tasters" everywhere.........make mine a Glen Moray witha drop of water please.

Oops: I forgot about St Andrew's Day and was accidentally drinking Welsh single malt whiskey yesterday. I kid you not, it really exists (it's called Penderyn) and I've got some!

Oh well, I'll make up for it this evening. Got a 225 mile drive through this blizzard to accomplish tonight ("is your journey really necessary?") at the end of which I expect a nice big glass of Laphroiag will be only too welcome. Straight, no ice. :D

Belated happy St Andrew's Day, everyone!

Cheers - C
