It doesn't seem like 9 years but I'll never forget that sad day.I was already in a deep depression due to the tremendous chronic pain from my back injuries but that news put me into a deeper funk.I spent 3 whole days in my rec room listening to all my Beatles/George recordings and reading all my Beatle material. It was just as devastating as losing a family member as I owed so much to George for inspiring me to become a musician.God Bless you George and Thank you for guiding me down the right path.

Truly one of the best musicians. My favorite Beatle. He will always live on in my heart

George was the favourite Beatle of this picker, from Day 1, because he played real leads and was "the Quiet Beatle."

Quite a few years later it was learned there was a shared exact, precise philosophy about writing...

...he disdained the use of, "I", "My," "Me" and "Mine."

You are still loved, admired and missed, George.

I remember it as if it were yesterday... I was in 8th grade, woke up, heard the news and wept. I've been a Beatles fan since I was real young and they remain my all time favorite band.

"What is my life without your love?"

George was somebody who truly loved the world and everyone in it

Ha! Well that's all the excuse I need to capo my seventh fret and launch into If I Needed Someone.

George at his jangly best. Respect.

Cheers - C
