ok guys heres a new question for ya.
i have a puter with vista on it.
when downloading some of my fav lesson videos
my player wont play them.
im needing to change the format of these few videos
so my dvd player will play them (im guessing) so how would i go about doing this? i believe they are in real player and my dvd player cant read them. i guess i need MPEG???

you can try this... its free and works well.

MPEG Streamclip

http://www.squared5.com/

However... if your CPU is not reading the FLV codec, the app might not recognize it but its certainly worth a shot to convert it to the format you need.

ok heres what im doing. im downloading a video here and there, lessons
on theory and some playing. im loading them on to my laptop, then burning them to disk. running the disk in the other room to watch/study them on my portable dvd player. the player wont play the disk.
th player reads a ton of formats but this FLV. isnt one of them.
so i gotta convert it to a Mpeg so i can play them.
i think thats what i have to do anyways.
nope cant take the laptop as its my g.friends business laptop.
