Ringo has a new album out and you can hear it at the link below. He's teamed up with Dave Stewart of Eurythmics fame.

Some of it was the sappy and cheesy love stuff Ringo loves so much. It was beautifully produced though. I really did like the title track, with it's Hey Jude-like ending chorus of Liverpool! with all those people in the studio.

Pretty good stuff for a guy that's gonna be 68 this year ! That second song sounds pretty good to me.

Yeah. the title track and the second track were the best. Really well produced.

I have to admit though....I still miss the No No Song.

No no no no I can't take it no more. I'm tired of waking up on de floor...

That song made this young midnight smoker laugh pretty hard once upon a time.

Near the end of these recordings, Ringo split with longtime musical partner, Mark Hudson, hence the fine print on the disc stating "re-produced by Ringo Starr and David A. Stewart."

After hearing it more, I think the closer, "R U Ready" is the gem.

Is Mark Hudson the Mark Hudson of the Hudson Brothers television show in the late 70's? Father of Kate Hudson?

Hudson's daughter is singer/songwriter Sarah Hudson, and he is the uncle of actress Kate Hudson and actor Oliver Hudson.

So he was one of the Hudson Brothers. Man, that was one cheesy variety show. I though Sonny and Cher was bad, then came the Hudson Brothers. It just goes to show, there was a lot of bad televison in the 70's.

The single is a tribute to his life in Liverpool, the Beatles and their influences. It is produced in the same vein as the Beatles did. His song to Harry is a produced just like a Nillson song. If you listen to John Lennon's last album, it was done in sort of the same production and has similiar sounds. I thought it was well put together and sort of like a ride down memory lane. In the end, Ringo did what he does best!

I saw Ringo doing the "single" on Letterman.

It was okay. I could have sworn I already heard such a "look back at the good old days" song.

I like Ringo's last band better than this one.
