Not only comedy, Joe.

He co-starred with Walter Pigeon in "The Forbidden Planet".

Another good one gone......

Arjay

He actually did quite a bit of serious dramatic work in New York before his comedy career. Critics even complained that he was being type cast in the comedies and should have stayed in the more dramatic roles. Luckily for us, he didn't.

Really saddend by this. That guy gave me so much pleasure from watching his films and the Police Squad series. The world is a poorer place without him.

I always found him to be so funny. I was once watching an interview and he told of the times he'd dress up in his best suit, head to the mall and sit on a bench with a newspaper. When kids would go by in hand with their parents, he's make funny faces at them. Of course when the parents were told of this by their kids, he was a very serious business man reading his paper :) Nobody would ever get away with this these days though....funny man!!!
