Saw him years ago at the Ft. Lauderdale Blues Festival with his old beat up Strat. Quite a show! I remember talking to a guy from Maryland who made the drive down to the festival just to see him.

The "Blues Police" don't like him because they say he plays too loud and plays too many notes. He had a tee shirt made up that says that on it.

I too just recently stumbled upon Walter's music over in the YouTube thread. I am definitely a fan now. There's so much good music that I'd never heard of until I got on these forums.

We saw Walter w/ John Mayall years ago and what a performer!!!

Not only can the guy play and have great tone, but he is a top shelf
performer in all respects as well!!!

Dayum, I must belong to that same group cause that was the first thought I had when I clicked on the first youtube link

I'm not a fan of the whole Gary Moore style Blues, doesn't work for me AT ALL! YMMV... maybe I'll check him out next time he's in town.

I like both Gary and Walter, but truth be told, sometimes they can be a little over the top for me, too. Hey, keep that badge shiny! :)
