i've been itching to swap out the pups in my 89 mij strat , so ive ordered up a set :D and should have them in a few days , i'll let you know how they sound when i fit them . If the single coils are anything like the humbuckers i have fitted to my epi dot and lp they should sound excellent ,here's a link http://www.axetec.co.uk/axetec%20guitar ... ps_103.htm

cheers
Alan

Cool Alan, i looked at iron gear, tonerider and old glory pups at various cost options for swapping out in a cij strat as an experiment but to be honest im more tempted to swap out the pups in an american strat i have instead.

No decision yet on my part but from memory i think the iron gear pups were the cheapest.

Ill watch for your comments on em.

thats the pups fitted and i have to say that they sound a lot better than the pups fitted to the 89 mij strat , thers a bit more clarity to them , on clean they are nice and jangly and they respond well to overdrive and pick attack , i would say that they are well worth the £75 that the set cost 8)
