I never use a Bridge pickup live. But I do sometimes in the studio. We have 2 guitar players in the band, and our other guitar player uses only the bridge. So if we both did it, the effects of it wouldn't be very pleasant. I've always favored neck and middle pickups anyway, so it works out for both of us.

Neck and Bridge pups

Neck Mid and Bridge pups

That about does it, tone versatility dictated by the tune 8)

I tend to play around with different pickups on different guitars, but I do prefer the neck pickup.

On my Strats I use all the positions as needed to fit the songs I'm doing at the time. My favorite position is the neck especially for bluesy stuff. I think Leo created the most versatile guitar ever in the Strat.

You know, that may be true. I have so many Strat style guitars. I never really liked the overall feeling of playing a Tele. I've never even owned one of any kind. Thick, no contour, I just find them uncomfortable to me. But I did come to a realization yesterday. When I tested out the Blacktop Tele VS. Strat, the Strat did have more options, but the Tele had better tone hands down. I'm not eaxctly sure how many Teles have it over Strats in that department. But in this case, it was very evident. Might be a Tele coming up for me in the future.

Shredd6 if you get a Tele I feel it only fair to warn you, they are addictive. I love my Strats but my Teles are my go to guitars. I like those uncluttered slabs, simple is good :D

I usually favor the bridge pickup becuase I have an HSS Strat, but I use all of my pickups depending on the type of music I'm playing.

Personal preference is both on a 2-pup guitar and the middle or less often, #4 and much less often, #2 on a Strat.

I use the mid-neck position 70% of the time.
