I've noticed that on just about every Youtube video I've watched that most people use only the bridge pup for leads and even rythm so much so I wonder why they spend the money on 2 and 3 pickup guitars. When playing leads I use the neck and middle pups mostly so I can get a more weeping violin tone and it doesn't pierce the eardrums with treble like so many seem to prefer these days.Am I the only one in my boat or are there others who realize that guitars have more than one pickup?

Bridge and mid for me.

I always thought the majority of strat players used the neck pickup.

When I need to cut and/or slash, it's the bridge.

But for a heavier creamy vibe it's the neck with the tone control bled all the way down -- sometimes mixed with the middle for that spanky honk. Neck pickups aren't usually wound as hot as the bridge but that's where my Fulltone OCD comes in handy.

Mainly the neck, but I use all three. I don't like the in between positions as much, but I find use for them too. Especially in the funk department. 8)

i use my bridge for chunky distorted stuff, my neck for solos or anything high on the fretboard, and my middle/neck for clean bluesy stuff. if i want a strictly rythmic sound for backup guitar or something i use position two with the middle pickups tone turned down

I use 3 settings: Bridge and mid in series, bridge and neck in parallel, and neck only. I use these 3 just about equally. My middle and bridge pickups are switched for noise canceling the bridge and neck in parallel.

I have two P90 soapbars on my Telecaster. I tend to use the neck and bridge/neck positions. They are both very creamy which is a tone that I prefer.

I rotate through, the pickups. I probably land mostly on the middle position for rhythms and especially any clean guitar. Bridge mostly for big power chords and definitely using a lot of different positions for solos. Not too big on the fourth position on my Blackout Tele, I never use it.

I tend to play around with different pickups on different guitars, but I do prefer the neck pickup.

I favor neck. But have the tendency to go to bridge. Probably bad habit from lessons.

As mentioned by others: you can prevent the painfull treble by EQ your amp.
