you know, i am 23 years old and i have had GAS since i was 16, but i am one of the lucky ones. iv played a fireburst ric 330, a black 60's and natural 70's les paul, sunburst '77 J-45, redburst '63 silvertone, a sunburst/maple '57 strat, red '64 or '66 (dont remember) mustang aaaaannnnnddddd my all time favorite guitar ever, a blonde '52 telecaster.

i have played them all but the only one i own is the 52 (reissue) tele. lets just say all the guys at the local music shops know my first name lol

I dunno, I guess they just never really appealed to me for some reason. To this day I've never even picked one up and strummed on one. I guess I will eventually.

ya know, i LOVE my tele, but when i first started thinking that guitar would be 'fun', i immediately thought FENDER!. then it began, the GAS attack. but the only guitar i had ever visualized was a strat looking guitar. without even knowing what a stratocaster was, i knew a strat was for me.. so i bought a strat. this thing called telecaster was disgusting and could never be as appealing as this 3 pickup, double horned, sleak, tremolo bearing stratocaster. after about 5 years of loving every single fender (minus tele) i seen this add in musicians friend catalog that highlighted this old, vintage, holy grail of guitar.

after research i found out how this guitar really made history. learned of how many people play one. ...one day, about a year after the catalog article...in a lone guitar shop... there was real 52 tele. i felt like a 4 year old on Christmas morning playing it thru a twin reverb then thru a hot rod deville. i absolutely fell inlove with everything about the guitar. the look, feel, sound, playability, tone EVERYTHING. the 52 tele is my most favorite guitar out of any guitar iv ever seen or heard of... but it only took 5 years for me to realize it lol.

Id like to try a Rickenbacker 660 some day. Still haven't played a Jag. Ive played strats, teles, and jazzmasters but no jaguar. Or Mustang. Id also like a 76-79 Fender Starcaster-a really nice axe that never really lived its own name---not a Starcaster. A Peavey T-60, really rare guitar that never found its own-pretty sad i know. Other guitars as well. Belive it or not Ive never played a hollowbody. Because where I live, I don't get to visit guitar stores alot without traveling 80-120 miles-just can't do that every weekend.
