Mavis:

Always great Rollie. Thanks, for that. The video sure reflects the times. It would appear that some things haven’t changed much; although, the music has. The Staple Singers was one of my favourite Quadriphonic albums.

The radio station I was affiliated with broadcast in (QS) surround sound for experimental purposes. It was terrific. Too bad radio and the recording industry didn’t embrace it. We all would have benefitted. IMHO,

Mavis Staples is a survivor, however. She is still going strong at 79, and Mavis recently played here in the ‘Peg. :D

More Mavis is always welcomed Chromeface, and that powerhouse of female giants from the music industry is crazy good, Marky.

Hers’s a couple more ladies for the thread:

Some really good stuff here, gang. It would make a pretty good playlist in a jukebox I figure.

FSB

Yeah. I said, "jukebox". That tube thingie with the big honkin' speaker, coloured lights, flip flap songlist, buttons here and buttons there, worn out records pulled, twisted, and dropped for overtracked tone arms with nail stylusus, all with a pitted chrome money pit slot to go with the baby controllers in the soda shop booths. Ahhh! Thems was Rock and Roll where Elvis and Little Richard hung out with Chuck Berry. 8)
Oh, and Patsy Cline too. :D
