I had a Gibson Les Paul Custom once, well back in the early eighties actually. It was re-issue 56 I think. Who I bought it off called it a Black Beauty and it had two pick ups, a P90 at the bridge and a small black double coil at the neck ( I can't remember now what that was ) I have some pictures somewhere, I'll find 'em.
Unfortunately I had to sell it. One of the big regrets I have, letting it go.

A Strat is certainly one of the ones I had in mind. Though there's many others too. Er... a Gibson Black Beauty for example.
