Man...Talk about a transformation! I think he went a little overboard with the birdseye maple, but all in all, that's pretty cool. Makes me want to go find an old beat up up guitar to try my hand and see how I could do.

Yeah, as far as making the parts, I'd probably leave that up to the pros, and just buy the hardware. One thing I really liked though was the brass rings around the fretboard inlays. I'm thinking rosewood fretboard, brass rings, and abalone dots...I think that would look really sweet. So who knows, maybe I'll try it on one of my old unnamed first guitars first, and see what I can come up with.

What a build and builder, I don't know if I've ever seen so many different skills demonstrated on one project. That thing came out cool as heck. Thanks for sharing.

Whoa!
Machining your own hardware? Great skills this gentleman has but I'm not too much into the amount of birdseye he used.
Still very nice work!
Thanks for the post.

Wow, that guy is talented! Not a fan of how he did the string-through though... seems like it would make for very uneven string tension..

yeah but i think he was looking to do something altogether different.
there is only so much one can do with a bridge/string idea.

+1 I Thought it was strange to put them at that much of an angle, I don't think I've seen that on a guitar before.
