Hamilton Streetcar. They were a Los Angeles based band in the late 60's and opened for several bands that made it big.

My cousin was the lead singer for this band.

Good Lord -- I haven't thought about them for decades!

To them, I'd also add the gang of 'usual suspects' from the "Summer Of Love".

Quicksilver
H.P. Lovecraft
Big Brother & The Holding Company
Spirit
The Chambers Brothers

Ah......those were the days!

It would cost at least $25.00 to see Jim Morrison if he was lying in state like Lenin.

At the Las Vegas Hardrock, perhaps.

I'm suprised we're into the third page and nobody mentioned Van Halen chapter1. I don't know about anyone else, But the first time i heard VH's First album, WOW! you can't say Eddie didn't change the face of the musical landscape of the world. Think back to the first time you heard Eruption and then You Really Got Me. Insane! 8)

I'm surprised nobody mentioned Arthur Lee and Love; The Doors were great admirers of them.

He is an Alumni of one of my school's rivals

Ooh, I forgot to say The Beach Boys as an honorable mention. Especially with summer on its way.
