hi all.

trying to learn the final solo on high hopes, the acoustic part. theres no lessons on you tube. and all the tab i can find is a bit odd. as it goes up to fret 20 and then even fret 32. but its played on a acoustic guitar, its not the lap steel part, as the beginning of the tab is accurate. wondering if anyone knows of any lessons on this or has the correct tab.

thanks for you're help....

there is no acoustic solo at the end. there is a lap steel solo at the end and there is a classical guitar solo a bit before that. do you mean the classical guitar solo?

Actually, on the Pulse video Gilmour does play a little acoustic outro after the steel guitar, but it's not on the album version. I have the music for the album version which ends with the steel guitar so that's not helping you any.

Just listened and he does it on Live In Gdansk also. It sounds to me like a little of the same as the solo before the steel guitar - just changes it up some. Try noodling around in the same area of the fretboard and I'm sure you'll begin to stumble on it.

I hope to keep this string going so hopefully one of us figures out this end part. I just started to figure out this evening and I think it is in A Phyrigian scale. I have not seen a tab for it and it appears to be in a different scale than the song. I think is starts off with
on High e with 15p14p12; B string 15 12v then still on B 12h15/12 10. that ending part is all done as one motion and when you slide up you will be able to play that last note. Any other help is appreciated.

Just a random thing that just noticed while listening to the end the album version of the song: after about 30 or so seconds of silence, theres a *very* quiet phone conversation, i had to crank the volume on my laptop, and plug in my headphones... anyone else ever notice it?
