I was looking at the Gibson Nighthawk and it appears tiny almost like the Back to the Future guitar.... so tiny.

The guitar in the opening scene of BTTF is a Chiquita Guitar. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&sour ... oEBU_QUrwK

I don't see any resemblance to the new or old Nighthawk. Yeah the Nighthawk has a smaller body than a Les Paul and the 25.5" scale length makes the body look even smaller, but not nearly as small as the wee little Chiquita (it probably looked bigger on Michael J Fox, he's a little guy). The Nighthawk wasn't even around in 1985 when the movie was made....unless Gibson had a Delorean, flux capacitor, and plutonium...hmmm...

It looks like Epiphone is coming out with a reissue Nighthawk early next year. I think they are trying to compete with the Blacktop series. The price point is around $400.00.

Someone mentioned the Chiquita guitar and now I see one for sale. It is about 4 hrs from where I live, but I think Nevin1985 lives close to the seller. Any interest Nevin?
