Hmmm, not a lot of NFL (american football) talk this fall.

It seems to me that injuries have made things "interesting" this year. You never know who will beat whom.

I hope my faves, the Packers, can make it to the play-offs.

Kind of a strange season trying to see "where's Randy Moss".

Patriots obviously don't miss him.

I think everyone is just disappointed. All of the injuries have really messed things up for my team (Steelers). I know a lot of teams are just wrecked because of it.

It really sucks because unfortunately the Jets and Patriots have no key injuries and are looking like "God's gift to football" once again. I can't blame the Patriots...They are just that good with a masterful coach.

My problem is the Jets because Mark Sanchez is not a very good QB who just checks the ball down all the time and his recievers and running backs make all the actual plays. It drives me nuts because the commentators talk about him like he's the second coming..... Its a joke.

Peyton Manning is proving he's awesome once again because almost all of his stars are injured and he's still killing it....

I think the Packers will win the NFC and the Jets will win the AFC, i only say this because they have the best secondary you can BUY.

..............................................................

I would like to say however that I love the fact that in America that you can brutally murder dozens of dogs with your bare hands but as long as you play good football you are forgiven.

You can also drink and drive and put lives at risk (and even kill a guy), but as long as you play good football you are forgiven.

You can also cheat in college, take bribes (pay for play), try to extort money, steal peoples property, BUT as long as you play good football you are forgiven.

It's sad when i feel Plaxico Burress should be playing football before these other guys. I think he's learned his lesson for being a moron.

The Raiders are on a three-game winning streak with a very tough game against (locally for me) the Pittsburgh Steelers. A win for the Raiders here and they will show themselves as a team that has finally turned the corner. Look for a Raider win over the Steelers due to the fast Raider WRs embarassing the much slower Steeler CBs, and the well-rested Raider D-line to make mince meat of a decimated Steeler O-line.

My Titans are doing better than expected so far so I can't complain. I just hope VY can get healthy and finish up strong. I was a bit concerned to see them pick up Randy Moss, but if he can't flourish under Jeff Fisher then he isn't going to make it anywhere, he will just continue to bounce around. I hope him and VY get some good chemistry going for the rest of the season and make the playoffs. Although I have to admit, the NFL just gets more boring every year. More and more egos and felons, 80% if not more of the league roided up and all the new "rules" have just turned me off from what used to be my favorite sport.

Dan Snyder still can't straighten out my favorite team, the Redskins. Albert Haynesworth is an absolute joke.
But, I like what I've been seeing from the Falcons this year. Good underdog team to root for this time around.

I'm pretty cool with what I'm seeing with the Rams. It's good to see that they're definitely improving. The last coach (Linehan) completely destroyed the roster. It's beyond me how a franchise lets a coach bring in any dysfunctional person he sees fit to be on a team. the guy brought in a bunch of busts from the Vikings and Dolphins, where sure enough he'd coached before, let some really good players go, and the team tanked hard.

At least now they seem to be steering in the right direction. So it hasn't been disappointing for me so far this season.

Titans are a well-run well-coached team -- year in and out. The Moss pickup was a good one, in that they can release him if it does not work out. I wanted the Titans to beat the Rams in that SB a few years back ... if that Ram LB does not make that last amazing tackle, you'd have a Lombardi trophy sitting behind a glass case in Nashville ...

I remember that moment very well!! :D

The only thing that bothered me about that Superbowl was that Mike Jones didn't get the Superbowl MVP award. It was one of the most memorable plays in Superbowl history, and they gave it to Kurt Warner. True Kurt had a good day, but if it wasn't for Mike Jones, I'd still be looking at the Rams having never won the big one.

My heart stopped cold for a second when I saw Dyson make a dash for the goal-line. I think I was legally dead for a split second. One way or another, that play was going to go down as one of the best plays in Superbowl history for one of the teams. With that one play alone, you can always say that every yard counts.

Hold up Titan fans, even if Dyson makes that TD, that would have only tied the game. They would not have won necessarily. It would have come down to a coin toss. I think the Rams still win it, as the team kind of went into cruise and started celebrating. I think that tie would have got them focused again

I'm a long-time (40 years) Dolphins fan. Unfortunately, they've been "rebuilding" ever since Shula and Marino left. Every year is the same thing... lots of potential in the beginning of the season only to fall apart at the end. One large problem has been their inability to find a franchise quarterback; over 10 years now and they're still looking! They've been trading for back-up QBs from other teams to be their starter for years. Another problem has been putting together a complete team; they just can't get a good running and passing offense going along with a strong defense all at the same time.

They finally have a young QB who MAY be pretty good, but the offensive coordinator is terrible at playcalling and is hindering his development. Last year's great running game has disappeared, so the defense has been keeping them in games. But, the playcalling has forced them to settle for field goals instead of trying for touchdowns which lost a few games for them. Now, the offensive line is decimated by injuries, so the season is pretty much over already. And yet again, I have to hope that next year will be better!

What is really disappointing is that there are no completely dominant teams this year, so a lot of playoff spots will be up for grabs. This makes for a very interesting second half of the season; I'm just sorry that Miami won't be in the postseason.

Downward 78, Sorry for editing before I quote, But I wholeheartedly agree with both of these statements. I do not agree with the Jets winning the AFC east. It will be Belicheick and the Pats :D This weeks game will not be your average one at 4:15pm EST Pats at home against Indy. Tune in Football Fans. http://www.patriots.com/homepage/

Once again the Texans are able to find a way to lose. It's like they practice choking or something. I really hope I live to see a playoff game.

I'm delighted by the Cowboys record though.

The Bears are leading the Division and I'm still surprised every game they win.

I love it when Jerry Jones makes those faces as his team goes down the tank. I swear he looks like the crypt keeper sometimes. lol
