Just play it slow and get it down and gradually speed up. Obsess over it. It's actually a really good one to practice while you're watching TV so you can play it over and over for an hour or two without getting too frustrated.

I have tried, several times. Almost got the intro, but only at about 75% tempo.
I just don't have the right hand chops for it.
Dirty Pool, with the fast strumming, also kills me.
Love SRV though, he is just way past my abilities.
