Good work Mark, thanks for posting.

Another Christmas is almost here, here is a poem from Danny Duke. Thank you Danny :D

"It's A 2012 Kind Of Christmas"

All the night, so long and dreary.
I'm growing old and feeling weary.
My rain deer slowing in the fog.
My slay stuck fast in the bog.
But Rudolph's nose still glowing red.
His eyes still sparkling in his head.
Heel lead the way, heel shurly pull old Santa's slay.
For all the kids on Christmas day.
And bring them all a gift, maybe two.
There's one for you and you and you.
And maybe, when the night's all done.
I'll settle in and have some fun. and sip a cup of Christmas cheer.
And say thanks to my fine rain deer.
Then, in my favored chair, for a winter's nap
With Mrs. Santa on my lap.
Mary Christmas To All.
----Danny,

Nice! And merry Christmas to you too. :)

Thanks, for the work by Danny, Rollie. It puts me in a Christmas mood. :D

Earlier I inadvertently credited Paul with Mark’s reading. Whoo boy?! It’s fixed now. Don’t know how that slipped through as the poetry and video was easily recognizable as our own Mark Hahn. They’re both good guys, so it’s good to mention just the same.

On Wednesday December 13th I turn 70. Ouch! That’s inspired me to write this:

A grey hair here
A white hair there
A bald spot lurks
I do not care

For now some hair below my lip
Beneath my nose
I think it's hip

There’s silver, grey, and lots of white
It may not stay, but that’s all right
A pill for this a pill for that
And working less creates the fat

I’m aging fast but I’m not dead
The tunes and vibes are in my head
So, I still rock and will till end
I’ll bend a string and crank past 10 :D

Thanks, my friend. My poem was also in homage to Spinal Tap. I said “past 10” because I couldn’t think of a word to rhyme with 11. Haha.

Thanks, Marky. Hey, ya never know as I slow down a whole lot of Lizards might catch up.
FSB

Not to worry though, I’m trying my best to not slow down. Somedays I win and other days I can’t remember the outcome and I no longer say, “Hey, look at that old fart!” Besides, I don’t think Keef and Jagger would appreciate it. :P

Great fun poem, FSB... especially for us aging guys! Always willing to turn it up to 11, but my hair seems to jump ship before it turns white!

Thanks, for adding that to the poetry thread, Mark. :D

Note: I have to proof read better or kill the auto correction. :?

Thanks, FSB! I guess it's all a test to make sure I'm not dead yet!

see him right here
his red coat's there on the chair
have another glass of old heathen
I assure you, you'll see him
by the Christmas tree light's

That is so great, Rollie. It deserves to be a classic.

Thanks, for spreading Christmas cheer.

More Christmas cheer
Fender Strat Brat wrote:
Lights upon the Christmas tree
Presents on the floor
But, it's not what's happening in the house
It's what's outside the door.

There's laughter, cheer, and presents missing
From those without a home
For those in peril, and those unknown
For those who seek a shelter
And those who live alone.

Still Christmas always finds a place
To stage a playing part
That's shared amongst the world throughout
It comes from in the heart.

Well, I’ll be hog swallowed. Thank you, Rollie.

And remember the spirit of Christmas is meant to be shared whatever your belief or age. :D
