I smile when ever I think of you
just a thought of you can make me smile
a surprise just when that happens
that must be the reason I think of you so often

You I think
Can use use your mind
For good of all
For all mankind
For all that went and came before
And all that hides behind the door
For things that count and those that don’t
For those that will and those that won’t
For those who find they’re in a bind
Perhaps, the world can pick your mind.

I’m honoured, Alex, yet I know others here are equally or better able to do that.

Amongst my projects writing songs is soon to be on my bucket list. I used to write and perform simple songs for friends and family some time back, and I constantly get prompted to develop it. I didn’t take it for granted and left it behind only to have a renewed interest given to me lately. I am getting serious about it these days, and I am involved in some studies on song writing to improve my skills and savvy or, at the very least, to sharpen my compositions and to know what is possible in the transactional area. I could simplify and write repetition like that in today’s lyrics. After all, audience participation often demands it. I might even loop it.
So, thanks for your offer, Alex. Sounds like fun. My creative juices do need a little time, though. Stay tuned.

Meanwhile, enjoy the gang here. :D

from 2014 i think

Happy Halloween

"AAH ooo" screamed the goblins from under the stairs
"When the night comes we'll creep out and give you a scare".

"Woohoo" howled the werewolves, from the forest they cried
"Under the moon we'll change, right in front of your eyes".

"Ooh ooh" the loud sigh from the witches and ghosts
"On the chill in the air we'll fly close to your home".

Shake shake shake, the skeletons rattle their bones
Clickety clack, their teeth chattering "Terror unknown".

A two-headed monster led the freaks down the hall
Such a horror to frighten us, one and all.

Just stay in your room, don't come out, stay in bed
Keep a flashlight with you, a blanket to cover your head.

With your eyes closed don't look at the nightmarish scene
On this creepiest crawliest hairiest scariest happiest Halloween!

Loved being scared by your Halloween poetry, Rollie.

I just got home from a party and I’m laying in bed without a flashlight, and after reading your warning I’m about to cover my head, and I tend to stay this way until it’s safe to come out in the morning.

You is one scarey poet. Thanks, for your great post, SBLS.
