At Cheers, huh? Pretty good place to wait out the rain. :D
We get some pretty mean storms here with massive lightning and wind, the odd tornado, lots of rain (including stranded cars), and province wide floods. Thankfully, we don't get pounded by hurricanes, and my heart goes out to our brothers and sisters in the U.S.

Sometimes we don't get the same impact with the press. All things considered, if half the province were under water that would be equal to a couple of states. We even have a floodway to divert the excess water.

That bartender would come in handy on such a night.

Cheers!
FSB
A few weeks earlier we had the same flood in the east of our country. I do not know if this was in your news . Very many people were evacuated and lost their homes. Let all remain alive and none of the children will be lost.Sometimes on our earth it is uncomfortable. So it goes .
FSB & Solid Body Love Songs I like your poems .Go ahead, pls.

Sorry to hear about the flood in your country, Alex. We do hear about the floods overseas, but I know they are not all covered for a variety of reasons. It is the elderly, the physically challenged, and the kids that appear to struggle the most. I often see them grabbed or hoisted in ways that are rough or harmful when rescuing them. I don't think harm is intended, but often that is the nature of the beast. Losing a home is never good, but losing a loved one is worse. Time heals, but it's a tough journey.

At this time Canada's massive forest fires could do with rain, and although the fires have been reduced, they have combined into lesser and bigger fires. I have relatives in those vicinities and so far it's good but still close. There was little hope without the international community helping. Too bad the world doesn't work as well at times.

Thanks, for your kind words, Alex.

You can blame Rollie for all the poetry. He started this thread.

Tried to think up a song today
a simple song that's easy
up tempo and fun to play
as i thought it occured to me
that now might be a good time
to pick up my guitar and play
and so i shall

You gave me inspiration, Rollie.

Can music soothe the soul
Or does it awaken it?
Do you know the chords
Or are you just fakin’ it?

Do you have 5 or 4,
Maybe 6, maybe more?
Are we slappin’ or shreddin’
To settle the score
Or sliddin’ or pickin’
That old Country chicken?
There’s bendin’ and pullin’
and also a trem.
Practice each day,
And we’ll all sound like them. :D

"Well it took a little while but here it is. A comprehensive list of The Fender Lounge Forum's best and brightest poets, from my point of view lol. Every member who has posted on this thread was/is an inspiration. Some of them posted one poem or song, some words to bump the thread along and then vanished, wishing they would post again. I have friend'd every one. There are some prolific writers, Danny Duke and rileymcc who's poetry I miss. Fenderseeker09 is missed too. Every one is.
