now i'm here today
i see you have wrote
some warm words to me
what shall i say is
to give these warm words
back to you
sometime our hearts are hurts
go on sbls
fresh up our hearts
with your lovely words

(and i'm a sister Wink )

cheers Very Happy

this can be a busy world.
as busy as our trying can be.
almost missed the forest
trying not to miss the tree's.
so today, here I am, late.
now, it is the words, I see.
warm words a good friend wrote yesterday
I went back to see again, what shall now
give fresh thought, to my mind today.
these, lovely words in a song
by my Fender friend Triskele
" sometimes our hearts are hurts ".
.....I felt that.....
.....I feel it now.....
in the middle of my chest
were my Frankenstein heart should be.
it feels hurted, when someone goes away.
it can, if you care.
sometimes, at the moment, we can not know why.
Triskele, you can know this
you, are, loved so very
by so many
your Fender friends
and me.

thank you again Triskele for that poem, you're good, every line a verse.

I thought about writing something today
wasn't going to be choosy about content
didn't want it to be too long
wouldn't matter if it was short
a length somewhere in the middle would be ok.
something you would write on any day,
nothing profound or philosophical
not too emotional or serious
a regular verse, one that could fit everyday.
I thought about it some more,
tried to change my point of view by
looking at it differently, up close, then
from a distance and I just couldn't think of a way.
a thought then came to mind
"write about your day, what ever you have done"
so, woke up this morning and had breakfast
watched TV, the local news, something about the TSA.
then listened to music that I like
practiced guitar and sang some songs
watched the football game and had dinner
none of which seemed interesting, you know,
if I embellished those activities or augmented them
with descriptive words, they would still add up to
what would be just a regular day.
then I thought, perhaps I should ask a friend
or some one I know about what to write.
they would tell me "it's hard to believe,
the bro who's always talking and has an opinion
and point of view about love about women
about how I love them in every way,
about inspiration about things in general,
wouldn't have anything to say."
this brought me back to the reality
today was nothing special, not an adventure
wasn't too interesting or anything to write home about
today was just an ordinary day.
Might have something interesting to write about tomorrow
an adventure or a new experience or
at least think of a poem, a poem or a song perhaps,
what day is tomorrow anyway?
oh yeah, I remember, it is Monday.

+1 to both posts....

youre great at writing, your lyrics are as abstract as vedder and cobain combined (which makes sense i suppose :P ) and have that odd way of being very emotional feeling and yet having little apparent meaning to anyone but the author.... again very reminiscent of cobain 8)
i WISH i could write like that :P

also, this forum has helped me learn A LOT about playing, introduced me to a lot of new music (i first got into punk because of a stooges vid posted by niki), and im learning how my gear works everyday

a big thanks to everyone on the forum 8)

My old Dad told me this one:

It's too bad, falling in the gutter,

I'm off to Hughie's for my sugar, tea and butter.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it.

Down, down, spiralling to a lonely strand, stranded,

'Tween highway and a downtrodden path.

Held, litter-blown, by Lilluputian ties of gravity.

Arising, phoenix-like from the trashes,

Drawn by market force to a flurry of grudged exchange,

O sweet sip! Guide my spreading blade.

i wrote this one on a ruler at school (a teacher saw it and thought it was a plan of some sort :lol: );

twisted thoughts in an empty mind
your stabbing your own food to live
struggle if you wish but you cant croud inside
seeing through broken glass
gone in a thin trunk so be it
freely i admit on ash broken fire
