Now own up. It's all that practice you've had on the 'five word story game' is'nt it?
Keep 'em coming mate, it's good stuff.

I went back 160 pages and could not locate the above highlighted thread. If some one can find it give it a bump please. :D

John started a thread 25 Sept. 2010 when I hit 5000 posts. While searching for the "five word story game" thread I found this:
Thankyou ripitup555, cherokee747, nikininja, Tochai, Beaubs, Rhumba, Snowy72, NonniG, bill948, Miami Mike, Celtic Cyclonus, Tanner1994, fhopkins,
a band of Brothers
fits us to a tee
life chose us
more than the others
all of our I's and My's became we
here, is our Fender casa
hear it's musical method
from our sonic fathers and mothers
giving help to the helpless
showing hope for the hopeful
tearing down the walls
from around this world
with a clear melodic shield
for those that listen
for them that hear
we message this message
you're free to be
guitar hero's, with
a band of brothers
yeah, that fits us to a tee
life chose us
and then no others
all of our I's
and all of our My's
are, We

I can feel it, love, is, everywhere. So glad to be with Y'all here. Ceri, Claude, Niki, majesty's silver foxes, check the gate, for it appears everyone is home safe, anyone who is still out will be in soon, as they can Brad. Chill tonight everyone.
Mi casa es su casa.

What do you think, should we start another five word story game thread John ?

Just feeling lost
lost without love
white feathered wings without a dove
got a push but needed a shove
just a below without an above
a clock on the wall without its hands
some pages of music without a stand
having a soul to share
with a soul-mate who's not there
a table set without a chair
showing concern, no one to care
if only a right without a left
like hearing the laughter but missing the jest
or a friendly hug but no caress
a casual buss but not a kiss
to go for a walk though all alone
like having a house but wanting a home
a handsome face without a smile
with no one there to stay awhile
those lonely days, alone as one
those cloudy skies, that block the sun
just like a shoe without its sock
a tiny wood cuckoo without its clock
or an oaken door without a knock
a watch that tick's but doesn't tock
on a crowded street feeling all alone
then wait in silence by the telephone
ready to answer yet no one calls
would climb a mountain, there are only walls
a patient search, wishing to be found
hearing the music's melancholy sound
like a carousel on its own, it just goes around
stuck in the middle, neither up nor down
just feeling lost
lost without love
waiting patiently
for someone .

Funny quote up there you wrote
to pass some time or to interlope
either is fine if one writes there is hope
they'll grow and be smart then learn to cope
with a subjective change
in the objective terrain
chill, then maintain
ones unique perspective
or, what was the thought, um, being the same? no, wait, same is like alike which can be good, or wait, unique is, now I lost the thought

Wishful repost, come on springtime :D

Spring

Spring, is now here
the earths first change of seasons
is done for this year
now, for us humans, to the one
the first task of the first season
has all but just begun

It's spring cleaning time
chasing away winters grit and grime
taking out the dusters and brooms
the rags and the buckets
the sponges and mops
the soap and water and trusty vacuums

Completing the task, room by room
the upstairs and the downstairs
sanitize and reorganize, the inside affairs
then outside to manicure and trim
to make way for new growth
with much love and care

There is work to be done
as work is and work goes
this work is the closest to fun
preparing for growth and growing
new life and new love, now everything glowing
before summer has come

So jump into the task
with both hands is the plan
with a wipe and a swipe, a heave and a ho
a sweep and a mop
and before you know
the cleaning race will be ran

Then the other part of spring time
that we all have waited for
the spring of enjoyment
the spring of renewal
the spring of fresh fun
fresh spring fun by the ton

With an attitude of gratitude
and appreciation of everything and everyone
a search for new love with just the right one
unless you have one already, then keep playing with them, carry on
and watch as the love hunters
search for their special one

The night was dark
The sky was blue
And down the alley
A stranger flew
Where from his chest
A dagger he drew
To split the banana
Right in two.

Thanks for posting Fender Strat Brat, I quite liked your poem.

From the sky rain is falling
tiny splashes into droplets forming
green plants and grasses drink the heavens offering
as a cascade of agua blankets the earth this morning

Very nice. Makes me want to put on my rubber boots so I can slosh in the puddles.

You are welcome, Solid Body Love Songs. I can not take credit for my poem, as it was given to me by my father who has passed long ago. He was a sailor (as I for several years), and poetry was common on the ocean. Thought you might like it.

You and others here certainly shine in this beauty of words.

I have written lyrics since my boyhood, but, sadly, I remain a humble rookie admiring your skill and offerings.

Considering today's repetition of simple lyrics, I can only hope to improve on my songwriting.

Until then . . .

Ciao

Fender Strat Brat, credit is all yours Bro. The apple a day rule apply's. I am touched. Thank you too. Your skill does show.
I changed a word above because I thought wet and blanket both in the same sentence might be too easy lol. what do you think FSB ?-)
