I grabbed a guitar but couldn't begin to keep up
So I tried to blame it on a broken pup
But Jimi just laughed in his nonchalant way
And set fire to his guitar before fading away

The ghost of Jimi Hendrix with a Stratocaster near
He plugged it into an amp and blasted away

Nice SW! :D

All right, poems .... hmmmm .... let me see....

OK, I'll post this. It's from a song I wrote, a song about disappointing people. Song lyrics are poems as well, in a sort of way, right? Here we go:

Lies, lies, nothing but lies
Is what you're all about
I can't believe how you treat your friends
It makes me scream and shout
Envy, jealousy, malicious intrigue
That's all you seem to know
As soon as someone turns his back
You're ready for the show

GO TO HELL AND LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!

You two faced bastards, scheming creeps
That's what you are to me
Can't stand the way you pretend to be a friend
While you only live for greed
Betrayal, vengeance, agony
You start my heart to bleed
Isn't there a way for you
To live with us in peace

GO TO HELL AND LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!

I wish you all a peaceful, lovely Christmas, dear Fender Forum friends!!!
And may you NOT(!!) have to deal with people like those in the song in the upcoming new year 2013!!

FrankieTheKid, saw this a minute ago, miss your words Bro.
Merry merriest wishes, true, happy happiest in the new, all, for you Frankie.

Well, here goes...

FrankieTheKid wrote:

"Gather all your papers torn and scattered on the floor.
Tape them back together like they were the day before.
Cover up the seams so you can’t see them anymore.
Paint them pretty. Hang them up on the refrigerator door.
Pouring out my life like the sand that’s in my shoe.
I want to change the world but I’ve got better things to do.
Sitting on the potter’s wheel, perhaps I’ll take a spin.
Touch me while I turn and you can change the shape I’m in.
Looking at the picture from the painter’s point of view,
Everything looks good except this tiny bit of blue.
So tell me what it’s like to be the fly upon the wall,
You know, the one who flew off laughing – laughing – laughing.

(See Jeremiah 18:1-4)"

Frankie,
laughable, supposed, hardly
crumpled paper floors
from here to there
then over to the door
pick them up perhaps
smooth them out
might they look then
like before
or better than
the spinning world
Gods potters wheel
touch the picture
change the look
point of view
Everything
except this tiny bit of blue
except this tiny bit of blue
"tell me what it’s like to be the fly upon the wall"
You, FrankieTheKid, know what it’s like
you communicate Bro
couldn't find Jeremiah 18:1-4) must have flew off l

Smokin' aggressive, in fact!
There's some bad guys speaking in the song, I left those out when posting the lyrics here.
If you happen to listen to the song, the complete lyrics are there, too. Just scroll down.

It's been a collab with several online artists involved (voices and vocals), I did all the instruments and wrote the lyrics. (I'm a crappy singer).

I used: '86 US Standard Strat, 2002 US Texas Special Strat, '76 Fender Preci, Drums programmed.

the holiday season is almost over, it goes by faster every year it seems as I get older, lol

what's just happened
something that fast
for weeks was so slow
Santa came to town then
in an instant had to go

a few days until a new year though
time again for celebration, old and new
memories and plans, remembrances and hopes
lessons learned, new ways to cope
resolutions in mind, not too many just a few

happy new years everybody
one for the money, two for the show
three says we're ready
come on
baby don't you want to go
8-)
