I tried to make a tribute to Hendrix and this is what I came up with:

They dance across the stage
Illuminating the third stone
Full of joy, feeling
To the rhythm of the fingers

The epitome of expression
The feeling of freedom
The red house lit
By the purple fire

Under the crossfire they fight
For the custody of the angel who
Under his little wing
Creates endless melodys

But what use was all this
If the sixes weren't nines
If the soul didn’t pour out
From the strings of the soul of the musician
As bold as love

My written tribute to him :D

----Danny,

yeah dont worry. he said i just nearly fainted, i told him all the symptom's and what not. light headedness, dizzyness eg. when started realising i was dizzy and nearly out, i lied down and he said thats what prevented me from fainting.

Riley, nutrition and rest are the two important things to remember but are the ones most easily forgotten when you are young. Glad that you called your Doctor and he thinks you just felt faint, so, nutrition and rest even if you must leave little notes for yourself everywhere. Cool poem though.

effected numbness isn't lifted
a cautious hand breaks on fibre glass
double the eyes on a boredom paddock
disfunctional thoughts do have an effect

well
what do you know
what do you hear
what do you say
just dropped in
just to see
if some one had written some words
anyway
or anyhow
for today
but alas there is news
news for today
a "hello" or "good bye"
a "how've you been" or "good day"
an "it's been so long" or "on my way"
a "missed you much" or "cheerio old friend"
no word no letter
no dot no dash
just blank page and blank space
an empty verse
yes alas
what there was so I guess
I'll just have to pass
on some words today
and perhaps then come back
to look again because
there just might be
a "you're looking good" or "see you later"
a "greetings to all" or "after while alligator"
yeah there just might be
I'll come back and see
maybe there won't
maybe there will
looking to look and see
have to wait until
a little later

later it is and
apparently
no one cares
or don't possess a pair
pity
I'd loan if I could
just have the one set though
or perhaps poor fellows lost them
if so hurry
find them if you can
and write else
broken string
probably not a good thing

who was I kidding
some alter ego's bidding
the flourish was ending
instead of beginning
now on third look
a lack that I mistook
for resistance from a distance
was a toady's reflection after this looks
so, if I am what I am
then that is what it is
I'll make amends somehow
if I could just think of some thing
to make up for not having
an idea for awhile

" A POEM FOR TODAY"
Normally I can write Like My fingers are ablaze
Now when I write it's through a clouded haze
If I can get my head to clear
I think I can add a little cheer
And maby some sadness here
I think that maby I can make you laugh
And I know that I can make you cry
but for the life of me I cant figure why
Folks react the way they do to a little bit of rime
But I am very glad to see there's still a place
For folks like you and me to lay down a little poetry
----Danny,

how, do, you, do
how, about, that
a good play, move to
words moving, fluidly, stray cat
merry christmas, halleluja
happy new year and birthday to ya
a present, a gift if you will
a tickle or tingle, a thrill chill
when there's been written some words
and they appear out of ether you see
good thoughts, good feelings occurs
thanks a bunch, a lucky bump
from sea to shining sea

Gretsch.

A good guitar company

I miss the good old 50s and 60's where Buddy Holly and Jimi Hendrix were kings of rock 'n' roll.

Buddy said to Jimi "why did YOU die?"

and Jimi said "becuz i drank too much red wine!"

Buddy said "I died in a plane crash."

Jimi said "u likey my upside down Strat?!"

Buddy said "no its a right handed Strat strung lefty and turned upside down."

Jimi said "well i like the controls on top"

Buddy said "ok...."

Then SRV comes along and blows both of them away

he said "why are you guys arguing?!"

they both said "because we might have better amps"

SRV said " well Jimi i was influenced by you to put a Lefty tremolo on my strat"

Jimi said "thanks"

SRV said " your welcome."

Buddy said " wtf r they talking about?"

then he picks up his Strat and plays his songs.

The End

It doesn't bother me,
If poems don't rhyme,
Or if they don't have any discernible rhythmic structure either.

"THE SONG MY GUITAR SINGS"
Some one once said:
The sound is the soul of a guitar but I disagree
The soul is the heart of the picker
The sound is the song that it sings
When a guitar is picked up out of its case and held in a mans arms
Its transformed into a living thing with the heart and the soul of a man
And it sings of many things
About pain the anguish the love the hate The happiness and the sorrow
The beauty the ugliness and the strife the sentiments of life
All the sounds that guitar makes are the heart beats of the man
That stands out there on the stage with his guitar in his hands

"WRITEN WORDS"
We write of things that humor us
We write of things that make us laugh
We write of men with tattered cloths
We write of things that cross our path
We write of things that go bump in the night
We write of things that fly
We write of things that make us cry
We write of our Moms and our dads
We write of the pets we've had
We write of all the things that make up our lives
We write of when we die
There's not a thing we don't write about
And that's the way it shold be
Because without our writing there'd be no history.
----Danny,

rainy here now in this part of the weather
a sunny thought appeared before me
when I read everything
and saw the picture
I hope the rain stops soon
and blue sky's for you too
feel better, thanks for the thoughts Triskele.
