A hidden message? not sure.

STLBlues, I've played my share of LPs, you could trade just one Strat for an LP Custom, if the Strat is set-up right.

Never could relate to Melody Makers, as long as there was an SG to be had.

Tweeny bopper love-guitar signature model...goofy, at best.

I really think Gibson has lost their minds. they just do some off the wall stuff. Has anyone seen the Firebird X???? AKA "Fire turd" It is really getting a grilling over at Gibsons site. Gibson just needs to stick with what what works and has worked for decades. Oh Gibson : (

While the Jonas MM is in this opinion silly and the Firebird X irrelevant, this picker's gotta give Gison some credit for trying new stuff.

Can you imagine Orville Gibson's ghost and the oulde gang who had big G high in the sky for decade after decade...

...seeing this upstart radio repairman and some west coast chums with a fresh vision, attitude and gobs of imagination...

...and in less than 35 years, despite stepping on thier own plumbing with golf spikes a couple times...

...pushing you into a distant second place in the world of guitars and likely 9th or 10th with amps?

And then, even buying two of your hottest rivals, Guild and Gretsch?

"...the horror...the horror...."

They'll prolly end up buying Gibson too before it's all said and done.

Somebody's gotta save McCarty's company!

Wow, a lot of discussion on this topic.

I'll have to reconsider getting the Squier Hello Kitty Strat.
