If you want an Epi try the LP Tribute,

This thing has two push/pull tone pots to allow for series/parallel pickup switching. I tried one and it was built really well and sounded great. It has Gibby Classic 57 pups and has a ton of possible tonal variations. I found it to be really nice for Classic Rock and Blues.

Agreed, +1

It's also got one of those special necks... You should look it up.

Also, the ESP LTD EC-1000 is a spectacular idea. Legit EMGs, sick looks... it's a solid guitar. I've got two friends who have them, they love 'em.

The Epi Zakk Wylde LP is a pretty decent guitar. I think a trade for an Ibanez Artcore would be an upgrade on your end.
I'm not big on the tone of the EMG HZs, but you could easily swap those out for something better suited to your taste if you don't like 'em. Overall though, it's a good guitar, and with a couple of tweaks to your amp settings I'm sure you could get plenty of classic rock tones out of it.
My brother has one and he never puts the thing down (except on the rare chance I let him play the Tele  )
So I said all that to say this...If I was you I'd go for the trade and enjoy the new tones I could get out of a new guitar. I always love sitting down with a new piece of gear and seeing what I can do with it.

Looking to trade for one of these sometime this week. I've read some really good reviews and was wondering if anyone on here owns one or has played one. If so, I'd like to know what you think about it. I know this is a Fender site, but it's the only guitar site I get on. Thanks!

trade for this, perhaps it is a better LP.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeell crap. I have another guy that wants to trade his Epi Les PAul Standard Plus. It's a beautiful guitar, great sustain, and the pickups are hotter than hell itself.......BUT.....the neck was cracked at the headstock about 2 years ago and was repaired by a luthier. You can't feel it, but I can see it. I've heard that once an Epi neck breaks or cracks and is repaired correctly, it can make the neck stronger than before. Anyways, I love the Standard Plus, but have no clue what to do. The neck crack worries me some.

Ceri.......you're the master luthier, what do you think? Anyone?
