Yesterday my wife returned from her 10 day visit with our daughters in Labrador and when she came into the living room the monster 4-12 Vox cabinet was there to greet her as my buddy who was supposed to help me bring it downstairs never showed Sunday evening. She didn't go ballistic however as I had expected her to-I guess she really must have missed me-or maybe it was the aroma of a gourmet meal of Chinese food that I had prepared that tamed her down.Anyway I guess I'll have to put the cab back downstairs and I'm hoping on starting my music room-rec room switch as soon as I can sell the treadmill and chesterfield that are there just taking up space.I'll have to take some before and after pix.

That's just how I roll...lol. Seriously though, my wife is cool and doesn't mind my music, so I guess I got lucky. I'd go crazy trying to be with someone that had an issue with it cause I pretty much always have a guitar in my hands when I'm at home.

After last daughter moved out and her bedroom became her father's music room, it's been a beautiful, daily-use place.

Highest recommendation on doing it, if you can.

When my youngest daughter moved out her room became a computer room and an upstairs storage room for overflow of guitars from the music room in the basement so using that is out of the question and it's only the same size as the current music room. When my oldest daughter moved out we used that for the spare bedroom and for a santuary for the missus when my snoring hits 120 dbs.-which is often.I'm selling off some stuff that's in the rec room and since that's about 12X20 it would make a fair sized music room-I might even have room for a drum kit-if I can talk the better half into it.
