ok so here is what went down.
i found a MXR Carbon Copy on craigslist for $75.
the guy was tring to fund a new amp and it had to go he posted.
ok so i talked with my g.friend and she said she would get it for be cause im broke for the moment.
so we met the guy and the Copy is still in the box and bag in which it comes from the store. this sucker is brand spanking new.
hes put velcro on the back but there are no fuzzies stuck to it yet which lets me know it didnt even make it to his board. ok $75 is a steal of a deal.
we get it home and im headed for the cave and my g.friend asks if i got my pedal out of the truck. (duh, of course) yes why i asked?
she takes it and puts it on the canopy of my 120 reef aquarium and tells me it will be a christmas present from her.
WTF???
so here i set, alone, shes at work and im here all by myself.
ive passed by the pedal a dozen times today. several just to look at the box in passing. "how would she ever know" i start to think?
"i can just test it a little and put it back, no one will know but me and the beagle". hum...... "i'll be quick" i tell myself.
"just a quick run through the knobs..... just to make sure they work" i reason with myself. "just a quick slapback through the ole tele
and im done" i thought. that is why i got it.
that beautiful analog sound....that dark green case.....the untouched blk
box in which it came all calling my name to do what i know i have to do....
TEST IT OUT.
i tiptoe down the stairs.......for whatever reason i dont know.......
im home alone remember. i slither over to the reef tank.
i see my target, its all but within reach now.........i have 1.5 hrs before the Boss is due home, maybe more because its raining and sure to be traffic jams. the dark side has taken over and im ok with that at this point.
ive come all this way and i cant sop myself now. i reach out..........
almost there..... i look down to see the beagle ------> at me ......
damnitt hes gonna squeal me out i just know it....... little moma's boy.........
i cant do it. @#%& oh the stress to be good when temptation is within reach. i need help. ive got uncontrolable G.A.S.

nevin, you and i could stand on that canopy and it wouldnt even flex
and im 6ft5 320. its very safe up there, yet SILL IN SIGHT for the test.

way cool, I had a beagle, she was a great dog but she was a snitch, she always ratted me out to Mrs b for a doggy treat. . Sadly we had to put her down .

waycool, i'm sure your sweetie pie knows what a gear head you are. i do. tell her you want the new toy NOW. if you haven't broke it out yet then you have already passed the test. i would have done it the first 5 seconds i got home.

im starting to think they hate me as im posting this.
they are in a plot o make me keel over "by natural causes".

I'm sorry but I agree with babalooga, you can't trust those beagles. First of all I wouldn't let my beagle anywhere near that pedal. She would grab it and then bury it in the back yard and then rat me out to my wife saying I sold it. I think my beagle has an evil streak as she get's treats through the fence on both sides of the back yard and makes my neighbors think I'm mean.

if my g.friend sees several beagle pics that are cute she might release the
force long enough ( give permission) for me to grab my pedal and slip into the cave undetected. it will take several cute pics but...........
