if you are talking about MTV Unplugged then I would say Mana Unplugged was the best, but most of you may not have heard of this group because they are from Mexico and sing in Spanish. Their MTV Unplugged album is solid from first to last track and the tone on there is just super

Otherwise I would say Pearl Jam MTV Unplugged was also super, wish it had been a full hour

It's not really an unplugged performance, but my favorite rock band who did many unplugged songs is Led Zeppelin. Page was just as good at acoustic than he was at electric. My favorites are Black Mountain Side and Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp.

Golden Earring are doing unplugged versions of their hits on tour and I must say the playing is stellar.

This stuff is really unplugged.

+1

Not to me, supro. That is truly the real stuff - when the term unplugged wasn't known because there wasn't anything to plug into in the first place.

You know I liked this one, four originals was def cool, but in my opinion Bruce Kulick really brought in a solid performance for the majority of the show. Great guitar playing that was overshadowed by Ace's legacy.

But it was KISS so it was all good to me

where did you sleep last night from nirvana's episode: haunting, almost seeming to foreshadow the events of the next few months... one of the most haunting and eerie songs ive ever heard

Although I did love the Pearl Jam unplugged performance, I'd have to say the Nirvana performance was my personal favourite.

I have to agree with a few of you. All three of the Seattle bands (PJ,AIC, Nirvana) were stellar, as was Stevie Ray's, who I believe kicked off the unplugged series. Impressive part of Nirvana's was, it was not edited, was all in one take.

I was at the Gorge just after Katrina hit, when Pearl Jam was a brilliant show. The first hour they played and acoustic set as the sun was setting.

The whole reunion tour was awesome. If they aren't gonna have Ace and Peter they really should take the makeup back off...and maybe re-hire Bruce.

I watched Bruce do a clinic at a local music store in '93. He's a shredder with a good sense of taste in his style.

I gotta add Tesla to the unplugged list.
