who do YOU think had the best unplugged performance? post what band you think had the best one, why, and then one of the songs if you want....

personally, i think Alice In Chains had the best.... few reasons why:
- for their first performance in 3 years they sounded pretty solid
- Layne's voice is bloody haunting in this particular show
- the adapt even their heaviest tunes EXTREMELY well to acoustic
- you can listen to Dirt or Facelift and then this without it seeming... odd....
- it was their last show

a great example of translating metal to an acoustic song:

I always loved the unplugged version of Hear My Train A Comin' / Gettin' My Heart back Together that Jimi did on a 12 string(Zematis?) in the Jimi Hendrix Movie/Documentary,it was so poignant to see him all alone on a stool softly singing the song that was usually pumped through a trio of Marshall stacks.

Robert Johnson, Bukka White and Son House also Django" Reinhardt is one of my favorites. I guess "unplugged" has a little different meaning to me.
This stuff is really unplugged.
