I mentioned before that I had sold my Superhawk that I had planned for a refinishing project, the resson being is that my skill level and rapidly depleting funds put an end to it before it finally went up for sale. I didn't have the heart to put that guitar through one last bout of hell, so I sold it to a friend that I knew would give it a good home and wouldn't want to mess with it.

However, I still have a certain itch to build a guitar.

Now that I have a new job and with Christmas on the way (Christmas always means extra folding money for me rather than traditional gifts), I think I might just act on scratching that itch.

I've been throwing ideas around for what exactly I'm going to build, ranging from a Dakota Red '59 Strat to a working, functional Marauder.

So I've been visiting Kisekae to see a few ideas materialize.

One idea that I've really seemed to take a shine to is this (ignore the '50s style headstock; for this idea to really work it would have late '60s CBS-era details).
